Class Contents: 

Friday: 5:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M.

· Introduction of the latest automotive technology including airbags and hybrid vehicles

· Discussion of safety features and techniques for rescue operations

 

Saturday: 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

· Basic and advanced stabilization, cribbing, and extrication techniques

· Scenarios including school busses

· Lunch will be served

 

 Sunday: 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

· Basic and advanced auto extrication, stabilization, and cribbing scenarios with lots of hands on cutting including extrication of school buses

· Lunch will be served

 

Tool manufactures that will be there are:  Hurst, Holmatro, Amkus, Jaws, Power Hawk, TNT, Res-Q-Jack, Genesis, and Paratech.

Instructors from around the region will be on hand to deliver some of the world’s best training on new techniques and procedures for performing scene size up, stabilization, and extrication on today’s newer vehicles including school buses.

U. S. 90 (traveling from Morgan City):

Take Exit 210 and turn right onto LA 182 towards Raceland.  Stay on LA 182 until you come to the intersection with LA 308 (after you cross LA 1 and the bridge over Bayou Lafourche).  Turn left onto LA 308 and travel approximately 0.2 mi.  Turn right onto Bowie Rd. (just past Raceland Upper Elementary School...the pink building).  You will see the AG Building on your right at the corner of Bowie Rd. and Texas St.

 

U. S. 90 (traveling from New Orleans):

Take the LA 182 exit (at the fork in the road just before the fruit stand).  Stay on LA 182 until you get to the intersection with LA 308.  Turn right onto LA 308 and travel approximately 1 mi.  Turn right onto Bowie Rd. (just past Raceland Upper Elementary School...the pink building).  You will see the AG Building on your right at the corner of Bowie Rd. and Texas St.

 

From Baton Rouge and Thibodaux:

Stay on LA 1 until you come to the intersection with LA 182 (approximately 14.5 mi from Thibodaux).  Turn left onto LA 182 (crossing the bridge).  Turn left onto LA 308 and travel approximately 0.2 mi.  Turn right onto Bowie Rd. (just past Raceland Upper Elementary School...the pink building).  You will see the AG Building on your right at the corner of Bowie Rd. and Texas St.
